Using the get me there app is perfect if you want to buy an adult ticket without queuing at a ticket machine.

It’s simple to get started

  • download the free get me there app to your phone from the App Store or Google Play
  • set up an account and add a payment card or use your mobile wallet eg ApplePay or GooglePay
  • when you’re ready to travel, simply choose the ticket you need and make your payment through the app
  • your ticket will load and start automatically (unless you buy a ticket that is not valid for travel at the time you buy it e.g. a weekend ticket will start automatically as soon as it's valid for travel)

Things to remember

  • buy your ticket before you board the tram
  • you'll need to be able to display it on your mobile device if requested, in exactly the same way as you need to show a valid printed ticket
  • once you've bought it, and it is visible on your device, you don't need an internet connection to use your ticket

The technical stuff

  • the get me there app is currently available to download free for Apple or Android smart phones (minimum OS version 7 for Apple, 4 for Android)
  • the get me there app is optimised for use on smart phones and works best on those devices
  • you can use the app on a tablet, however you will need internet access to buy tickets and you'll need your tablet with you for every journey
